3. Notary Journal Requirements
Iowa law requires notaries to maintain a secure journal of notarial acts. This journal may include:
Date and time of service
Type of notarization
Name of signer
Type of identification presented
Signature of signer
Journal entries are stored securely and are not shared unless required by law enforcement or court order.
4. Payment Information
Payments are processed through Square, which uses industry‑standard encryption and security. VT Mobile Notary & Signing does not store or access your full credit card details.
5. Document Privacy
Any documents you provide for notarization are handled confidentially. We do not retain copies of your documents unless required for:
Loan signing packages
Apostille processing
Courier services
Legal compliance
Documents are never shared with third parties except those directly involved in completing your requested service.
6. Communication
By scheduling an appointment, you consent to receiving:
Appointment confirmations
Service‑related messages
Receipts or invoices
Follow‑up communication if needed
We do not send marketing messages without your consent.

All notarial acts, loan signings, apostille services, and travel fees are final and non‑refundable once performed. Notaries cannot undo or reverse completed notarizations. Clients are responsible for ensuring documents are complete and accurate before the appointment.
Free cancellation if requested more than 30 minutes before the appointment.
$30 cancellation fee for appointments canceled within 30 minutes of the scheduled time.
If the notary has already begun traveling, the full travel fee also applies.
A no‑show occurs when the signer is not present, unprepared, missing ID, or more than 10 minutes late without communication.
$30 no‑show fee plus Full travel fee
Rescheduling is free if requested more than 30 minutes before the appointment and travel has not begun. Late rescheduling may incur cancellation or travel fees.
Clients must bring valid ID and fully prepared documents. If the appointment cannot proceed due to missing documents or ID, it is treated as a no‑show.
Travel fees apply once the notary begins driving and are non‑refundable.
Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted methods include cash, credit/debit cards, and tap‑to‑pay via Square.
